Temporary lull in Kherson: evacuation, hopes and fears of residents ahead of a new round of fighting
Kherson has seen a temporary lull for the first time in five years thanks to a ceasefire agreed by US First Lady Melania Trump for the evacuation of residents of occupied Oleshky. Although the city has come alive and people were able to return to dangerous areas, Ukrainian authorities and experts warn that the enemy is using the pause to strengthen its positions, and after the ceasefire ends shelling may resume with renewed force.
