The meeting will be held at the level of negotiating teams; the Russian delegation will be led by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, and the United States will act as mediator between Moscow and Kyiv. As Peskov previously explained, the format has already been agreed upon and provides for the participation of only Moscow, Kyiv and Washington — European countries will not take part in the talks. At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman acknowledged that dialogue with Europe will be inevitable later, since discussion of the future European security system will become part of the conflict settlement.
