The key facts
- The Committee demands a comprehensive approach: housing plus green zones, playgrounds and parking lots
- Abandonment of small and dense developments on plots of up to one hectare
- Three criteria for assessing projects: general plan, minimum 30% green zones, building height matching infrastructure
New requirements for residential projects
According to the committee (as reported by Kun.uz), every project planned for construction must be developed comprehensively: in addition to multi-storey residential buildings, it must include green zones, playgrounds and parking lots.
Abandonment of small dense developments
The committee also emphasized the need to abandon small and dense developments on land plots of up to one hectare.
Three criteria for assessing projects
The committee will pay attention to three main points when reviewing projects submitted to regional architectural and urban planning councils. The first is compliance with the general plan: the project must conform to the approved general plan of the territory. The second is the presence of at least 30% green zones: according to the committee, greenery is necessary to maintain the city's ecological balance and create a healthy environment for the population. The third is the compliance of building height with infrastructure: the number of floors of buildings must be proportionate to the capacity of the district's utility and social infrastructure.
