State Duma deputy Alexey Zhuravlev, in a comment to News.ru, assessed the prospects for ending the conflict in Ukraine as distant, noting that, in his words, US President Donald Trump 'is doing absolutely nothing' for peace. This contradicts the position of Vladimir Putin, who previously stated that the conflict is nearing its end but refused to specify a timeline.
