Three class M flares occurred on the Sun within six hours; a magnetic storm was recorded on Earth
On November 7, active region 4566 produced three class M flares, the strongest being M1.9. IPG reported a weak G1 storm, while the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of IKI RAN reported a strong storm of level G5+. The discrepancy in storm level assessments remains.
