Toshshahartranskhizmat JSC has published statistics: over three months, the number of protocols for unpaid fares grew from 10,843 in August to 21,116 for October 1–26. Since the beginning of the year, protocols have been drawn up against 134,300 passengers. The fine is 44,000 soums.
Otabek YusupovOver the past year, more than 113,000 administrative protocols were drawn up against fare evaders in Tashkent, and 2.7 billion soums in fines were collected. 98% of those who did not pay are people under 30. The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan has developed a proposal to increase the current fine of 44,000 soums fivefold; the matter is being coordinated with other agencies.
