A new technical school under the Ministry of Emergency Situations Academy
Uzbekistan will have a specialized educational institution for training rescuers. A government resolution adopted on November 6 provides for the creation of a technical school for training rescuers under the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, reports Zamon.uz. The institution is expected to begin operating in the 2027/2028 academic year.
Who will study and how
Graduates of general secondary schools will be able to enroll in the technical school — both on state grants and on paid contracts. Training will be organized under programs of primary, secondary, and secondary specialized vocational education. The stated mission of the institution is to train rescuers with modern theoretical knowledge and practical skills, for which simulation, imitation, and virtual laboratories, as well as training grounds, are planned to be used in the educational process.
Personnel reserve from 2029
The practical effect of the decision concerns, first of all, the emergency response agencies themselves: starting from 2029, a personnel reserve for emergency agencies will be formed from among graduates who have completed the technical school's professional education programs. Thus, the first specialists trained under the new programs will join the Ministry of Emergency Situations system about two years after the technical school opens.
