Massive police raid at bars in central Moscow
A large-scale sweep took place in central Moscow, during which, according to the Telegram channel Mash, more than 150 teenagers and young people were detained. The main part of the raid focused on the area around the Gorka park in Bolshoy Spasoglinishchevsky Lane: according to the channel, more than ten police vans arrived there. People were taken near bars and clubs, as well as directly from the street; according to Mash, detentions also occurred in other locations in the city center. The channel links the raid to local residents' complaints about noise.
Where the detainees are and what has been officially confirmed
Relatives of the detainees said the young people were taken to the Basmanny and Tagansky police departments, and at the time of Mash's publication they were still in the courtyards of those departments. At that time, however, there was no official confirmation of the number of detainees or the grounds for taking them to the departments.
Previous sweeps in Kitay-gorod
This is not the first such sweep in the area: on the night of November 1, documents were already checked in Kitay-gorod among young people who had gathered near venues and in courtyards for Halloween. Witnesses reported fights and ambulance calls at the time, but the Interior Ministry press service said it had received no reports of detentions. There are no official comments on the current raid in available publications so far.
