Heat supply will start in Tashkent on November 9
The 2026–2027 heating season in Tashkent will begin on November 9. This was reported by the press service of the city khokimiyat: the relevant decision was made by the khokim of Tashkent. From that date, heating will be switched on at social facilities — schools, kindergartens, hospitals and other institutions — and on the same day heat supply will begin for multi-apartment residential buildings. Buildings will be connected to the heat supply in stages, so not all apartments will receive heat at the same time.
What residents should know
A practically important point: heating charges are calculated not from the formal start date of the season, but from the day the building is actually connected to the heat supply. This date is recorded in a bilateral act signed by the management company — residents should pay attention to it when receiving bills. If heat in an apartment is distributed unevenly, residents should contact the management company: it is responsible for distributing heat within the building and for the proper condition of the internal heating systems. In case of accidents on heating networks, residents should call Veolia Energy Tashkent at 1347 and (71) 200-00-56 or write to the Telegram bot @vet_pokazaniya_bot, which accepts requests around the clock.
The season start coincides with a cold snap
The heating launch date coincided with a forecast of colder weather: as Daryo.uz reminds, Uzhydromet previously warnedthat cold and humid air masses will arrive in Uzbekistan on November 9–12. According to the forecast, on November 9–11 rain will fall across most of the country, heavy in places; in northern and mountainous areas rain is expected to turn into snow, and on November 10–12 night temperatures will be 0–5 degrees above zero, with 1–2 degrees of frost in places, and 7–12 degrees above zero during the day.
