Who will retire in 2027

Men born in 1962 and women born in 1967 will gain the right to an old-age pension in 2027, but only if they meet additional conditions. According to TASS, citing Russia's Social Fund, a pension will require at least 15 years of insurance record and an individual pension coefficient of at least 30 points. These parameters continue the operation of the pension formula, under which retirement age is only one of several conditions.

What else is being discussed around pensions

In addition to the retirement conditions, the agenda includes the fate of pension savings frozen in 2014. According to Gazeta.Ru, the Russian Finance Ministry has proposed automatically transferring them into the long-term savings program (LSP); the initiative has already been approved by a government commission. If the State Duma passes the bill, it will take effect on April 1, 2027 and will affect 36.5 million people. The publication separately examines who the proposal will affect first of all and what will happen to pensioners' money. Earlier, the State Duma also spoke about pension indexation in 2027, while the Social Fund recorded the highest average pensions in September 2026 in the Chukotka and Nenets Autonomous Okrugs and the Magadan Region.
