An accident on external networks led to restrictions in Crimea's power system

The state enterprise Krymenergo reported, that Crimea's power system has switched to operating under restrictions after an accident on trunk networks outside the peninsula. Electricity is being supplied to populated areas as technical capacity allows, and during the repair work the previous outage schedules are not in effect — Life.ru reports.

What is known about the restoration and previous outages

According to the outlet, power began returning to homes on the Kerch Peninsula as early as yesterday evening, however there is still no data on the full restoration of electricity supply across all of Crimea. This is not the first such episode: on November 3, electricity supply was restricted in Crimea and Sevastopol, and at that time the authorities also explained the disruptions by an accident at facilities outside the peninsula. Thus, the new report describes a renewed restriction of supply for the same reason — an accident outside the peninsula, not on Crimea's own networks.
