The key facts

  • The CRDU dispatcher on November 5 at 01:32 authorized connecting all consumers — restrictions fully lifted
  • Power outages began on November 4 after an overnight attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on energy infrastructure, according to the Russian Ministry of Energy
  • Power engineers warn: switching on all electrical appliances simultaneously can cause overloads and new accidents

Power restored to all consumers

In Sevastopol, the temporary electricity supply restriction regime imposed after the overnight attack has been fully lifted. According to Sevastopolenergo, the CRDU dispatcher at 01:32 on November 5, 2026 gave the command to connect all consumers — until the next command to impose restrictions. Thus, the outage schedules introduced the day before were in effect for less than a day.

What preceded the restoration

Power outages in Crimea and Sevastopol began on November 4 after an overnight attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on energy infrastructure. According to the Russian Ministry of Energy, some residents were left without electricity, as a result of which temporary outage schedules were introduced in the regions — Life.ru reported this. The full restoration of electricity supply means that the imposed restrictions are no longer needed.

Warning from power engineers

Sevastopolenergo asked residents not to switch on all electrical appliances at once after the power returned: a sharp increase in the load on the grid can cause overloads and new accidents. This is a standard measure after mass outages, when the grid returns to operation after an emergency mode.
