Second pre-trial restriction measure in one case
The Solomyansky District Court of Kyiv has placed Tatyana Kireyeva in custody for two months; she was detained after clashes near a military facility in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka. This was reported by the Ukrainian outlet Suspilne, which is cited by Life.ru. According to the investigation, Kireyeva acted in collusion with Valentina Molodaya and an ambulance driver; they are suspected of attempting to obstruct the activities of a unit of the National Guard of Ukraine.
The defense's version
At the hearing, Kireyeva stated that she had turned to Molodaya for medical assistance for an acquaintance who was on the facility's premises: according to her, the man needed hospitalization, and Molodaya owned a clinic that provided, among other services, emergency care. On the day of the riots, November 2, Kireyeva came to the building together with her sisters and, as she claims, wanted to secure medical help for her acquaintance, who, she says, was being unlawfully held and beaten.
The case of Valentina Molodaya
Earlier, the same court arrested Valentina Molodaya for 60 days without the right to bail. Her lawyers requested a more lenient pre-trial restriction measure, since the woman has an 11-year-old daughter. The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, reported her detention after the events near the alleged secret prison of Azov; according to him, the woman had appeared near the building several times even before the riots began. Later, Ukrainian journalists found out that the ambulance in which she arrived had previously belonged to a private medical service.
What remains unclear
The publications describe the investigation's position and Kireyeva's own words, but contain no data on the condition of the acquaintance for whom she came, or on the progress of the verification of her claims about the man being held and beaten. The claims about a 'secret prison' and a 'torture chamber' are cited in the reports without independent confirmation within the publications themselves.
