The teenager from the 'Peacemaker' database

A 14-year-old teenager, led out of a building in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka near Kyiv, where, according to local residents, people were illegally held and tortured, has been added to the database of the Ukrainian website 'Peacemaker'. This was reported by Life.ru and, citing TASS, Gazeta.Ru. The authors of the resource accused the schoolboy, whose name is Alexei, of 'actions aimed at undermining Ukraine's defense capability,' claiming that he allegedly took part in an attack on National Guard servicemen near the building. Members of his family were also added to the list — they are charged with 'failure to fulfill parental duties.'

Who else was added to the list

Earlier, other participants in the events in Borshchahivka appeared in the 'Peacemaker' database. Among them is medical worker Valentyna Moloda, who was among the first to arrive at the building and reported about the people insidewho needed help: she was accused of provocations and participation in information operations against Ukraine. Blogger Olha Zubko was also added to the list.

What is known about the events in Borshchahivka

On the evening of November 2, mass riots broke out near a private house in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, where, according to Ukrainian media and relatives, people — including mobilized men and soldiers who had arbitrarily left their units — were unofficially held in the basement. Protesters tried to storm the gates, smashed law enforcement officers' cars and chanted 'Shame!'; gas was used against them and gunshots were heard. The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, arrived at the scene, confirmed that servicemen had been in the house, and assured that there were no more hostages. In particular, a bloodied 14-year-old teenager was led out of the building.

The SBI criminal case

The State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine opened a criminal case after the scandal: investigators are checking reports of possible abuse of authority by servicemen. The reason was complaints about the conditions in which people were held in the building and the subsequent clashes between local residents and law enforcement officers. Earlier, as Gazeta.Ru noted, Medvedchuk suggested that the secret prison near Kyiv had been exposed deliberately. The 'Peacemaker' website has been recognized as extremist and banned in Russia.
