Damage in four regions
In four regions of Ukraine, substations, transformers and power lines have been damaged following overnight strikes. This was reported by Volodymyr Zelensky: energy facilities were hit in the Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr and Khmelnytsky regions. Ukraine's Ministry of Energy also reported power supply disruptions in several regions and described the situation in the Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions as the most difficult. According to the Ukrainian side, the outages affected hundreds of thousands of customers.
Emergency outages and the situation in the Dnipropetrovsk region
On November 1, DTEK reported emergency power outages in Kyiv. Earlier, the outlet reported serious damage to two DTEK energy facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region: on October 31, a significant part of Dnipro and Kamianske was left without electricity, with one of the facilities failing again after almost two days of restoration work. Thus, the disruptions in the Dnipropetrovsk region have been going on for more than a day, and the situation is complicated by repeated damage to infrastructure that had already been partially restored.
