Massive power outages in western Ukraine
In the Ternopil region of western Ukraine, 12 settlements have been left without electricity. The head of the regional military administration, Taras Pastukh, reported that these areas have been fully or partially de-energized, reports Life.ru. According to him, the outages were caused by damage to an energy facility in the Kremenets community; however, the official did not specify which structure had failed and did not provide data on the extent of the damage to the power supply.
Connection to the October incident
This is not the first report of problems with energy infrastructure in the region: earlier, the same outlet reported damage to two energy facilities in the Ternopil region. That incident occurred on October 17 in the Kremenets district, where fires broke out after strikes. At the time, Taras Pastukh also confirmed infrastructure damage but did not disclose details about the condition of the equipment. Thus, the new outage affected the same area — the Kremenets community — although the publication does not directly establish a connection between the two incidents.
