Two killed in 24 hours
Two Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip overnight into Saturday, medical sources told the Anadolu Agency. One of them, Dia Abu al-Rous, was killed in an Israeli drone strike north of the Nuseirat camp in the central part of the Strip — according to witnesses, the strike hit an area near the headquarters of an energy company. The second, Arafat al-Arair, died of severe wounds sustained several days earlier in a strike on a car in the Tel al-Hawa area southwest of Gaza City; his death was confirmed by al-Shifa Hospital.
Shelling across the Strip
In addition to the strikes, local sources reported artillery shelling and activity by Israeli military vehicles in various parts of the Strip: east of Beit Lahia in the north, in Gaza City, in Khan Younis in the south, and in Deir al-Balah in the center. Warships shelled the coast of Gaza City and fired machine guns toward the shore, while military vehicles fired intensively at homes near the al-Sanafur junction in the eastern Tuffah neighborhood. In Khan Younis, according to local sources, fire was directed at tents of displaced residents in the al-Iqlimi and Bir-19 areas south of the city; several tents were damaged, but no casualties were reported.
