Early on Friday morning, an Israeli helicopter fired at least one missile at an apartment in a residential building in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City, medical and local sources told the Anadolu Agency. Two Palestinians were lightly wounded.

What happened in other areas

According to the same sources, in the central part of the enclave the Israeli army carried out a large-scale demolition of houses in areas under its control east of the town of Al-Masdar, accompanied by intense artillery shelling. Witnesses told Anadolu that buildings and abandoned houses were destroyed, and a powerful blast was heard across a wide area of the enclave. In the south, south of Khan Younis, military vehicles opened fire on tents of displaced Palestinians in the Kizan an-Najjar and Jurat al-Lut areas; no casualties from the shelling were reported.

The scale of ceasefire violations

All of the incidents described occurred while the ceasefire agreement, in effect since October 2025, remains in force. According to the latest figures from the Gaza Ministry of Health as of Thursday, ceasefire violations have killed 1,574 Palestinians and wounded another 5,687. Anadolu also cites overall figures since October 2023: more than 74,000 dead and over 175,000 wounded, with about 90% of civilian infrastructure destroyed.
