Resolution on the results of Q3
The Tashkent Council of People's Deputies adopted a resolution on measures to improve public transport operations based on the results of the third quarter of 2026. Responsible agencies have been instructed to consider, by December 1, the possibility of organizing bus service on 20 routes from 21:00 to 23:00 within available capabilities. The document was published on the e-qaror.gov.uz portal.
Which routes will be affected by the change
The list includes 15 trunk and five connecting routes linking railway and bus stations, the airport, metro stations and densely populated residential areas. Among them, according to UzNews.uz, are route No. 1 (Karakamysh-2/4 massif — Mustaqillik Maydoni metro station), No. 14 (TTZ bus station — Northern Railway Station), No. 24 (Yangi Choshtepa massif — Tashkent Railway Station), No. 67 (International Airport — Yunusabad 19th quarter), No. 93 (Kuylyuk-1 massif — Yunusabad 13th quarter), No. 115 (Dustlik-2 massif — Beruni metro station) and No. 147 (Chinni market — Chorsu shopping center). The full list also includes routes No. 18, 21, 28, 38, 44, 46, 51, 58, 72, 85, 98, 118 and 131.
Requirements for intervals and oversight
The resolution stipulates that bus intervals in the evening and at night must not exceed 15–20 minutes. The schedule of such trips is to be published at all stops and in digital apps, with compliance monitored through the dispatch service.
Rationale for the decision
The document notes that after 21:00 the number of public transport trips drops sharply or service stops entirely. According to the authors of the resolution, this hinders the capital's evening and night economic activity. For now, this is about considering the possibility of extending service: the final decision and specific launch dates for evening trips are not named in the resolution, and the agencies are to report on the results by December 1.
