Meeting on the development of Kashkadarya
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is holding a meeting on issues of the comprehensive development of Kashkadarya region. He emphasized that one of the most pressing problems of the region remains providing the population with drinking water.
Construction of networks for 1 trillion soums
The President ordered that within two months the construction of 747 km of water supply and sewerage networks, as well as 43 infrastructure facilities, be completed using 1 trillion soums. As a result, 200 thousand residents will gain access to clean drinking water.
Water pipeline from the Gissarak reservoir
100 billion soums have been allocated for the implementation of the project to lay water supply networks from the Gissarak reservoir to the city of Karshi, as well as the Kamashi, Guzar and Karshi districts. The task has been set to attract another $210 million and ensure the high-quality implementation of the project — thanks to this, 350 thousand residents will be provided with clean drinking water.
Talimarjan — Mubarek project
The implementation of a project to reconstruct the Talimarjan — Mubarek water supply system is beginning, aimed at improving the water supply of another 700 thousand residents of the Nishan, Kasbi, Mirishkor, Mubarek and Karshi districts. It is planned to complete the preparation of the project's feasibility study by April 1 and attract $150 million for its implementation.
