Russian air defense systems over the past 24 hours downed 954 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles and also intercepted two rockets from an American HIMARS multiple rocket launcher. These figures are provided by the Russian Defense Ministry in its daily report.
Overall statistics since the start of the operation
According to the military ministry, the total number of unmanned aerial vehicles destroyed since the start of the special military operation has reached 266,887. The report also lists 674 aircraft, 284 helicopters and 672 anti-aircraft missile systems.
Destroyed equipment
The ministry reports the destruction of 31,332 tanks and other armored combat vehicles. The overall statistics include 1,792 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 36,772 artillery guns and mortars, as well as 75,164 units of special military automotive equipment.
Earlier reports
Earlier, Life.ru reported, citing Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov, that during the State Duma elections Russian air defense forces destroyed 1,398 Ukrainian drones and eight cruise missiles. According to him, the most intense attack came on the night of September 19 to 20, and the massive strikes were aimed at disrupting the voting. During that period, authorities reported drone attacks on Moscow and the Moscow region; against the backdrop of air defense operations, restrictions were imposed at airports and additional security measures were introduced.
