Pilot project in four regions

In Uzbekistan, from October to December 2026, a simplified system of assigning and paying state pensions will be tested on an experimental basis. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice (according to Daryo.uz) and, according to Kun.uz, the corresponding resolution. The functions of assigning and paying pensions and other benefits in certain district (city) branches of the Pension Fund will be transferred to territorial departments.

Geography of the experiment

In the Andijan region, the innovation will affect the city of Andijan and the Altynkul (Oltinkul) district, in the Samarkand region — the city of Samarkand, in the Khorezm region — the cities of Urgench and Khiva, as well as the Shavat and Yangiyarik districts. In the Syrdarya region, the system will be introduced in all district (city) branches.

Commissions and citizen service

At the territorial departments, commissions of three people will be created for each district or city. In district and city branches, staff directly serving citizens will be organized. The commission must make a decision within 10 days after receiving the application.

Proactive services without an application

Amendments have been made to the regulation on the procedure for assigning and paying state pensions: a number of services will be provided proactively, without a citizen's application. These include: continuation of disability pension payments upon re-establishment of the group or extension of its term; recalculation of the pension upon establishment of disability group I; continuation of survivor's pension payments upon a change in family composition; assignment and payment of an additional supplement to citizens who have reached 100 years of age; continuation of pension payments upon expiration of an ID card or its early renewal.

MyID for pensioners abroad

The Pension Fund has been instructed to provide, within a month, the possibility of identity verification through the MyID information system for pensioners located outside Uzbekistan when confirming the right to receive pension payments.
