Canada asks IIHF for clarification on Russia's participation in the 2027 World Junior Championship
After the CAS ruling obliging the IIHF to admit Russian national teams to competitions in the 2026/27 season, Hockey Canada approached the international federation for clarification. The organizers of the World Junior Championship in Edmonton and Red Deer are concerned that the list of participants and the schedule have already been approved. The Czech Republic, for its part, has stated that it does not intend to change its position on excluding Russia.
