Uzbekistan prepares phased phase-out of cash payments on commuter trains and intercity buses
The Ministry of Transport has published a draft resolution on the Strategy for the Development of Domestic Passenger Transportation until 2030. From 2027 — a discount of at least 20% on electronic tickets; from 2030 — a complete phase-out of cash on suburban trains and buses, as well as free commuter train travel for long-distance train passengers.
