NASA's Swift telescope, after 22 years of operation and a failed rescue attempt, fell to Earth
The Swift space telescope, launched in 2004 to study gamma-ray bursts, entered the atmosphere uncontrolled on November 4 over the northern part of Sumatra. NASA's attempt to save the spacecraft with the help of Katalyst Space failed due to problems with the engines and attitude control system of the LINK rescue module.
