Clashes erupt between Druze formations in southern Syria
Armed clashes have broken out in the city of Sweida in southern Syria between groups belonging to the 'National Guard' of Druze self-defense forces. The fighting has engulfed several neighborhoods, with grenade launchers being used. The clashes began a few days after the closure of the Nassib border crossing on the border with Jordan and Jordanian air strikes on southern Syria.
