The press center of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs told TASS that criminals use Telegram bots because they are easy to set up: bots conduct scripted dialogues, accept payments, and collect personal data and one-time codes. The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that social engineering plays the main role.
