Village on Fiji's Serua Island refuses to relocate despite the threat from the sea
Residents of Serua Island in Fiji rejected relocation offers and are instead reinforcing their homes and infrastructure. According to AFP, a disaster risk-reduction plan prepared with Habitat for Humanity in 2025 showed the vulnerability of nearly all the island's houses.
