'Ramayana: Rise of a Legend' — India's most expensive film — hits cinemas and divides critics
A two-part screen adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana, with a budget of around $500 million, opened in cinemas worldwide a few days before Diwali. The first part, directed by Nitesh Tiwari with Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, received mixed reviews: some praise the scale and special effects, others criticise the CGI and the use of AI for lip synchronisation.
