Portugal's Parliament approves extension of paid parental leave
Portugal's parliamentary working group approved a joint proposal by the PS and PSD parties to extend parental leave: 180 days at full pay when shared between parents, or 150 days for a single parent. The document will go to the relevant committee and then to a plenary vote. The new rules will apply only to leave beginning next year.
