Tashkent metro to run five-car trains during rush hours and cut intervals to 2–3 minutes
On October 30, the Tashkent City Council of Deputies adopted a decision on measures against metro overcrowding: from November 20, during rush hours trains on four lines will be formed of five cars, and intervals will be reduced to 2–3 minutes. The decision was based on survey results in which 85.4% of residents complained about morning and evening crowding.
