Rheinmetall delays delivery of modernized anti-aircraft systems to Romania and will face penalties
The German concern Rheinmetall has postponed the handover to Romania of two modernized Oerlikon GDF 103 anti-aircraft systems by almost eight months: instead of April 15, 2026, the equipment will arrive only in December. Romania's Ministry of Defense intends to claim contractual penalties, which could amount to several million euros. The deadline for the second contract has not yet been revised.
