Case of former probation inspector from Samarkand region accused of driving his wife to a suicide attempt sent to court
A criminal case against Bekzod Olimov, a former probation inspector of the Akdarya district police department, has been sent to court. According to the investigation, he systematically beat his wife and threatened to kill her, which is linked to her suicide attempt in May 2026. Olimov does not admit guilt. The Nemolchi.uz project notes that the woman had repeatedly turned to the police and was urged to forgive her husband.
