Damage to Ukraine's economy from explosions over ten months of 2026 estimated at almost 2% of GDP
According to TASS calculations based on Ukrainian government data, losses to Ukraine's economy from explosions at infrastructure facilities in January–October 2026 amounted to about $4.28 billion, or 1.9% of nominal GDP. The National Bank of Ukraine has worsened its forecast for the year: instead of growth, a GDP decline of 0.4% is now expected.
