Construction of Turkey's national aircraft carrier MUGEM has been underway since January 2025 at a shipyard in Istanbul. Launch is scheduled for September 2027, with delivery to the fleet expected in 2032. The 285-meter ship will be able to carry more than 50 aircraft.
