South Korea's parliament approves independent investigation into prosecution cases
South Korea's National Assembly passed, by a vote of 167 to one, a law on a special investigation into 12 prosecution cases from the era of former President Yoon Suk-yeol, including six cases against President Lee Jae-myung. The opposition boycotted the vote, accusing the ruling party of attempting to clear the president of charges.
