Central Bank worsens inflation forecast due to heating tariffs and keeps rate at 14%
On November 4, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan revised its 2026 inflation forecast from 6.5% to 7%: the proposed increase in heating and hot water tariffs turned out to be higher than the regulator's initial expectations. The rate was kept at 14%, with an option to cut it to 13.5% also considered.
