Doctor who first raised the alarm about Lucy Letby regrets not contacting police sooner
Dr Stephen Brearey, the lead neonatal consultant at the Countess of Chester Hospital, said in his first interview since the publication of the Thirlwall Inquiry report that it was 'naive' to rely on the hospital management's response to suspicions about nurse Lucy Letby, who murdered seven babies. Police were only called in May 2017, although warning signs had emerged since 2015.
