WSJ tells the story of a Russian lieutenant who switched to Ukraine's side and directed strikes against his own
The Wall Street Journal published a piece about Lev Stupnikov — a 26-year-old officer of the Russian army, born in Kazakhstan, who for more than six months passed the coordinates of his fellow servicemen to the Ukrainian military. His name became known in September 2025 after an interview with Ukrainian blogger Dmitry Karpenko. According to RT, more than 200 Russian servicemen were killed because of him; the Chechens declared a hunt for him.
