New-generation MAZ with the KamAZ K5 cab shown on video for the first time
Belarus's Ministry of Industry published photos and a video of a prospective MAZ with a cab from the KamAZ K5 series. The cab was developed jointly with Daimler on the basis of the Mercedes-Benz Actros and adapted for the Belarusian chassis. For MAZ, this marks a move away from the outdated 5440 cabs; for KamAZ, it means additional loading of capacity by 45,000 cabs per year.
