Finland detained two people after they crossed the border with Russia outside a crossing point
On October 31, in the area of the municipality of Ilomantsi in North Karelia, Finnish border guards detained two adults who had presumably illegally crossed the border with Russia. Both applied for asylum; their nationality and route are not disclosed. A preliminary investigation has been launched.
