Human trafficking victims in Guinea-Bissau: the network exposed, but the victims cannot return home
After a police operation in Guinea-Bissau on October 21, dozens of victims of a network that lured people with promises of jobs and migration to Europe were freed. Among the victims are citizens of Mali, Guinea, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire and Sierra Leone. A week after being freed, many remain in Bissau without money to return home.
