First snow falls in Crimea: Arctic front brings cold to the mountains and Simferopol
The first snow has covered the mountainous areas of Crimea — Ai-Petri and the Angarsky Pass — while in Simferopol rain gave way to wet snow. The cause was an Arctic cold front. According to forecasters, the bad weather will be short-lived: as early as November 8 the precipitation will begin to stop, and the temperature will gradually rise.
