ECMWF: COP31 in Antalya — a chance to link climate forecasts with early warning systems
ECMWF Director-General Florian Pappenberger said that the UN climate summit COP31 in Antalya, Turkey (9–20 November) will provide an opportunity to connect advances in climate forecasting, including AI-based ones, with emergency preparedness. In his words, improved forecasts only make sense when authorities make timely decisions.
