Costa agrees to discuss Meloni's proposal for a single EU negotiator on Ukraine
European Council President António Costa, in response to a letter from Giorgia Meloni, agreed to raise the issue of a common European position on settling the conflict in Ukraine at the informal European Council meeting on November 13 in Dublin. At the same time, he stressed that the EU's interests must be represented by its institutions under the union's existing treaties, and no real consultations on the negotiator's candidacy have yet taken place in Brussels.
