State Duma proposes extending childcare benefit payments until age three
State Duma Deputy Speaker Maria Voropaeva (LDPR) proposed extending the childcare benefit payment from 1.5 years until the parent returns to work or the child turns three. This is still an initiative, not an adopted decision: currently the benefit is paid only for the first 1.5 years.
