Sudan detains Ahmed Haroun, wanted by the ICC over Darfur
Sudan's armed forces have detained Ahmed Haroun, head of the former ruling National Congress Party, who had been on the run since escaping prison in 2023. He is wanted by the International Criminal Court on more than 40 counts of war crimes in Darfur; the US offered $5 million for information about him.
