Agency for Strategic Development: Uzbekistan's logistics is held back by a shortage of railways and warehouses, and administrative barriers
The Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms under the President of Uzbekistan has published a study of the transport and logistics industry: the transport services market has grown more than fivefold since 2017, 27 logistics centers have received the international “dry port” status, but the shortage of modern warehouses reaches 400,000 square meters, the railway network lacks about 2,800 km, and administrative procedures stretch construction out to two years. The agency proposed seven areas of reform.
