The Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt demanded an end to aid to Ukraine
The Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt adopted, by majority vote, a joint resolution by the AfD and BSW demanding an end to military and financial aid to Ukraine and the lifting of sanctions against Russia. The resolution was supported by 44 of 83 deputies; the CDU, SPD, Greens, and Left Party voted against. Minister-President Sven Schulze called it a political show, and Ukraine's ambassador called it "the height of absurdity." The decision is largely symbolic, as these matters fall within the competence of the federal government and the EU.
