After the break, Akron equalized — Stefan Lončar scored in the 58th minute, and in the 65th minute Danil Prutsev put the hosts back in front, with that goal proving to be the winner.

Standings and the coach's comment
After the victory, Spartak collected 29 points and moved up to third place in the Russian championship table; Akron remained in 14th place with 12 points. The head coach of the red-and-whites, Juan Carlos Carcedo, called the game a typical matchin which three points had to be taken: 'We understood that the game would not be easy. Two weeks ago they beat Dynamo, in the Cup they beat CSKA and led against Krasnodar until the final minutes. Today there was nothing special.' Spartak's next match will be away on November 22 against Makhachkala Dynamo, which, according to Life.ru, previously beat Fakel and topped the RPL table; Akron will host Voronezh Fakel on November 21. On the same matchday, Krasnodar beat CSKA 4:2, ending a seven-match winless streak in the championship — for Krasnodar it is their first RPL victory since August.
